Peter Card was born NH, received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Ohio State University, then studied post-doctoral at Harvard University. After a 30 year successful career as a pharmaceutical executive in nuclear medicine, Peter redirected his life-long passion to photography and oil painting. He spent four years studying painting techniques of the old masters in the studio of Leah Kristen Dahlgren. Peter later studied under Todd Bonita, Tom Hughes, Donald Jurney, David Lussier, and Dennis Sheehan.
Today, Peter and his wife reside in NH where he enjoys painting full time.
"I paint what interests me. I find inspiration in the beauty of simple things; utilizing them as elements to carry light across the painting. After years of working as a pharmaceutical executive which tended to fold, spindle and mutilate my soul....painting reminds me that I have one!"
